on integras you turn the piston to compress. if your using a tool to compress the piston it wont work and you'll think that the piston is seized. a wind back brake tool would do the job. or you can use a screw driver and twist it back in.

The piston has a big screw thread on the inside of it, where you can't see, sort of like a bottle cap.
Imagine a bottle cap on a drink bottle. If you watch carefully as you rotate the cap one way and the other on the bottle neck, you will see the cap rise and fall on the bottle neck. This is what happens when you rotate the piston.
Remember "righty tighty, lefty loosey"? Well, the piston rotates in and out the exact same way.
I use a giant flat-blade screwdriver stuck into the slots of the piston. If the piston is rusty, it will rotate with great difficulty, if at all.
See the rust on the piston below? That's what made this piston difficult to rotate.

As mentioned above, you need to twist the piston itself. Turn it clockwise to twist back in. After you twist it ALL the way back in, make sure the slots line up to the nub in the brake pad.
If your calipers really are bad (I'm sure they're not), use rockauto.com.

Here's a photo of the caliper with the piston unscrewed and removed. See the big screw? That's what get shoved forward when you apply the parking brake. Since the piston is locked to the pad by the little nub on the pad, it can't wind itself down the screw.

Another view, this time with the back of the old piston showing. The dust boot is still in place here. You can see the receiving threads in the piston.

It is possible to rebuild these things.
