1990 accord no fuel pressure
Hi I've got a 1990 2dr H22a swap and before I pulled the motor to swap I had fuel pressure but now I do not. So what I've done is pulled the master relay for the fuel pump and with the key on back probed the connector along with the fuel pump after removing the cover from the inside of the trunk. So I have with my dmm checked the connector at the fuel pump and the yellow wire has only 5-6 volts. Is this normal to only see this low voltage? Help please. Am I testing the correct wires or do I need to pull the tank to get to the pump? Does this mean that the actual pump is bad because I have pulled the fuel line from the filter in the engine bay and the pump will not prime?
OK so I pulled the tank and the pump out which only took like 2 hours and when I connect the pump to a battery the pump spins freely so I know that it's fine. Will replace the same reenactment because it seemsto be dirty after 246k. Next step is to recheck the main fuel relay. When I originally pulled that relay I dedicated see a crack around one of the terminals so I broke out the soider gun and remelted the joint back together. Could this be the problem? Should I just purchase one and try it out? Will put tank back in as soon as I get a new.s reenactment for the pump. Thanksgiving for the suggestion
Which out.of the two wires should i be getting g 12 volts the yellow and white or black? I am a suing that the black is a ground but for what circuit because the fuel pump is grounding itself to a return tube inside the tank.

if the engine isnt running the fuel pump isnt going to run, it's a safety feature, hook up a test light to the terminals feeding the pump, and see if it comes on for a second when you first turn on the key, I say light because it's easier to see from the drivers seat, which terminals are you getting 5 volts at? are you sure you arent measuring at the sending unit?

Use that site to test your main relay first.
I wish i woulda seen your thread earlier. It may have saved you from replacing your fuel pump without needing to.

Yes you are correct I believe th a try I was testing the sending unit and not the pump. So I will check the correct wires tomorrow after school. I am thinking that the yellow and white wire should have the 12 volts. What should the voltage be at the other wire??

one wire will have voltage and one wire will be ground, there won't be voltage but for a second when you first turn on the key, this is to prime the system, then once the engine is running you will have 12 volts
