I ripped the door handle off my car, an EH9, and of course broke the clips, and now I need to put it back together.

there's no aftermarket, as far as I can tell. is there is some kind of Spoon or mugen, something, interior door handles with power lock?

I cant find any EH9s or really many 5th gens in junk yards. I'm gonna call around tomorrow to find a replacement handle. Otherwise I'm gonna have to try and fix this one, I'm probably gonna epoxy the handle to the insert or the door. Or perhaps craft epoxy clips, dunno if that'l be strong enough.

can anyone else think of anything? I'm sure this comes up once in a while since doorman, etc, do not make this door handle.

Just thought of this too. I could hook up the wrong handle without the power locks, dice up the harness a little bit and bring the locks wires under the dash and put a switch there.

ideally I want to do it right, with a new handle, but I cannot see an easy way to get my hands on one. Prolly gonna post in the WTB section and maybe some other forums

I didnt see it on eBay mark. I checked again, and they dont have em. Martin's auto parts has a picture of it, an exact match as far as the picture goes, except they say its for EKs not EGs. So I'm assuming the picture is incorrect..

I just called Honda and they said I can get a black one for 100$ because it comes with the power locks switch. Thats alot, but oh well.

 

How do you not see them? I see handles for the 5th gens for both the coupe and sedan. Unless I'm just not understanding what it is you're asking about.

 

The EX model, aka my EH9, has a power lock switch on the door handle. The switch unscrews, but the plastic piece, the actual handle with the hole for the power locks, isn't made by aftermarket companys as far as I can tell

Hence why I was asking if there's, like, performance door handles or something to that extent. Flashy dumb JDM crap, I figured if someone makes it (since the common companys dont) maybe its them?

 

Nope. I've only seen LED outer handles. Is the thing you're looking for what I posted in #11?

 

this looks like da **** right here, I spent an hour last night checking parts stores websites amazon etc and I couldn't find it from any of em.

I guess I passed this one by because the silver door handles are EK but I guess they used plastic chrome on this one for the luls

Thanks again buddy, doing this stuff drives me crazy. I Probably should have tried more "left" instead of "driver" search queries. I wish I didnt have to eBay but there's no Advanced Autoparts life time warrantee on this piece.

just spent my 12$ on it, it'l be here by my birthday. Hopefully ill have my coupe done by then too.
