So i've got blown rings on cylinder #3, im looking at buying a new motor and transmission from Hmotors and was wondering how much is my B18c1 and gsr transmission worth? 102k miles on both out of the original frame. Bad rings in cylinder #3, id be keeping the intake manifold and AEM cam gears and spark plugs. Brand new Bosch oil filter 2k miles ago brand new thermostat just installed, Supertech valve seals 2k miles ago, valve lash adjustment just done, IACV cleaned 2k miles ago, brand new water pump (i might actually keep it though)

I am just looking for a rough estimate of how much this would be worth. I plan on getting a JDM gsr with LSD for future turbo plans and am trying to negate the price tag a bit. Thanks

 

how does the tranny drive? any grinds or pop outs at all?

 

I paid 600 for a complete motor like the previous post how's the tranny. My motor had a spun bearing. And included the ECU. Hope that helps.

 

get a b20(high comp) block keep the water pump/anything newish off the block. Obv keep the head for a b20V set up.


The combo is seriously under rated with a stock block and stock port head I pushed 215whp! and 141tq not bad if you ask me.

specs: pro1 cams,skunk2 ultra mani,74mm tb,whale dick intake, plm bigtube header and a 3'' kteller exhaust. tuned on Hondata. my final set up pushed 248/162! N/A
