I live in a heavily Honda populated area.. And yet I've never seen a Honda like mine.. I have a 98 civic ex, I've seen them but not with a spoiler like mine... Any idea if the pervious owner may have taken it off of a different gen? Or is everyone here taking them off?


It seems larger than others I've seen..

Look I'm not saying my car is special.. Or amazing.. It's definitely not. Just a stock civic, that's it. All I'm asking is if you guys have seen a spoiler like this on my year.. I live in Yakima where there are a **** ton of Hondas and I just find it a bit odd I've never seen a spoiler like this, at least not on my year.

The 99-00 ex have the big spoiler, maybe your 98 was made in june or whatever month with dictates the year.... Or maybe original owner got the wing as a option?

 

That's odd... Didn't take the kid who had it before as someone who would do that.. I mean he could even tell me what kind of engine was in it lol. I'll have to ask him about it. I believe the people who had it first were an old couple if I remember correctly.

And yes, they seem to be acting a bit rude. First day on this forum and I get those responses... :/

Look, your car has a replica spoiler for 99-00 civics. It was an option for all trims during those years, including coupes and sedans alike but most popular amongst Sis.
You can see how you run the risk of looking dumb by asking if anyone has seen a honda like yours….

I'm pretty sure someone could have just bought an aftermarket spoiler and put it on your car before you bought the car, just a common thought

 

If you wanna know if its real, just look on the underside near the center light it should say "civic" on it.

but everyone is right, these types of parts are commonly swapped onto 96-98 (pre-facelift 99-00) Civics. its nothing special.

i didnt think this spoiler was an OEM option for sedans, was it?

 

How are you guys seeing thats its oem or aftermarket?
