It is like 100 degrees or so outside, and I am chilling in the AC. I could be having my battery on my CTEK charger, checking its state of charge and condition (heat kills batteries.) I have a big huge 1/2" socket, baking outside in my truck. I would like to know what size socket I will need, to actually un-fasten the negative and positive battery cables. Then I will let it charge, overnight or so. Want my battery as nicely charged on the CTEK so it does not succumb to all this heat. Car is working properly but, its getting hot, and why tax the healthy charging system.
My question is what size socket (is the size in mm?) to buy to get those top-post connectors off.

I guess we will now see if my battery cables are factory originals or not :D

^^ Welp. WEIRD! Negative terminal is 12mm, and Positive is 1/2 inch.
I have the battery on the CTEK now. Seems to either be perfectly healthy, or "surface charged." Wanted to get it on there... been nothing but HOT for a couple weeks, with constant use. I hear that kills batteries.........
Oh, and my battery has the "removable caps." Should I go messing with the water. Or just leave it alone. ? ..

^^^ Just an update: I did not mess with the "battery water" level, and simply re-installed it. All seems well.
