99 civic ex passenger door chime not working
I swapped 3 different switches and cleaned them with electrical cleaner so far. Yes the wire is plugged into the door chime switch. Still wont sound. Neither worked until i cleaned the driver side one- it works now only. I need the passenger one to work now. Yes the dome light works when opening the door. I need to see a diagram for the wiring of this. I see a ground thats cut on the side drivers dash panel. Dont know where that goes and wondering if its a possibility.
Checked all fuses with my test light. All are good so i assume its a wiring problem. I need the info for how the wires are run. I noticed on passenger side the wire is bolted underneath the frame/door part. Seems nightmarish. I doubt the wire is broke- i just need info on the entire circuit. What grounds are connected etc. I have searched hondatech and the net for 3 days and people just wanna disable the door chime/ not fix them.
If you're referring to the ignition key reminder, it only goes off with the driver's door open, not the passenger door. The circuit diagram only shows the driver's door switch as part of that.
Ahhhh. ****. I see now. So basically its all correct then. Also i have a cut ground i see on the drivers side dash panel. THe one where fuses would be on diff types of cars. Its the panel when you open the drivers door and look at the side of your dash. What would that cut ground be to? Its bolted to the dash under that panel. As far as i see the sunroof and all is working though.
