Hello everybody. I have an oddity with my grandsons' 92 civic. It was running, drove it home, now it wont start. Getting fire, fuel (checked for fuel downstream from filter). Checked the Throttle Pos. Sensor, it's working fine. But here's the weird thing: With the key on, (obviously not started) there is a hissing noise under the hood. Cant locate exactly where the noise is coming from, but I'm pretty sure that is part of the problem.
I've never owned a Honda product before, like I said it's my grandsons' car, I'm just trying to help him out.

Sounds like there's a pressure leak in the fuel system. When you turn the key "on" it pressurizes the fuel delivery system, so when you start it the injectors have plenty of gas ready.

I guess the starter cranks but the car just doesn't start?

 

Then have him crawl under the car and identify it.

Is it throwing any CELs?
