faded paint and painted rims- sign of neglect?
Hey fellas,
I finally decided to upgrade from my 2002 Civic EX Coupe that ive been driving for TEN years. I orignaly wanted a em1 but then went on to consider gsr's and Praylude's. I'm leaning toward the lude because they are bigger and to me look a lot better than integras and civics. I also don't want some home boyz running off with my car and stealing the engine, which from what I understand happens more often with civics and intergras.
Iv'e been looking locally and found a 2000 base Prelude that looks t be in decent shape...except the original paint job is very faded, and the stock rims were painted black for some reason lol. Is this a sign of neglect and ricerism? I know I could always go look at the car in person, but its quite a drive and don't want to waste my time.
Basically If the car is in decent shape overall, would it be hard to restore the faded paint ( doesn't really have chips its just dull) and remove the newbie paint job from da rims?

Faded paint is hopefully just a polish away, and isn't that bad of a sign, as many people just don't worry about caring for paint on a 10+ year old car.
The wheels, who knows. They could have painted them to hide brake dust. Could have done it since they wanted black wheels and were broke, etc. As long as they didn't go crazy with painting interior panels and stuff to "customize" the car, It shouldn't be too much of a concern.

Man I really want an older Honda/acura but so many are riced/junked by now. Finding a gsr or em1 in stock condition that hasn't been stolen is nearly impossible. preludes I have much more hope for.
