Default AC Problem

just bought the car 1994 Accord. Lady I got it from said the car was switched under the hood to heat for winter. Is there a switch you can flip to put it in AC mode? thnx

Theres a valve, that allows flow of coolant through the heater core. When this valve is open, it allows heat. When it is closed it doesnt. Anyway, it is normally connected to the ac controller via a cable. But many times the **** or cable breaks. Look for this valve, it is right up against the firewall. If it isnt closed all teh way, then your ac wont work very good.
