Default 99 civic EX/b16a2 swap...Sigh... Lots of engine codes.

Well I was driving around the civic last night and was noticing it not engaging Vtec. So I did some searching and saw to check the engine codes. My light bulb for my check engine light must be out because it didn't turn on.(Wondering if the seller I bought from knew this and didn't tell me considering the car is WAY past inspection) So I went to autozone and checked it out. Now for the record I have a 99 civic EX with a b16a2 with a p2t ecu.

P0452-Faulty FTP Sensor
P0505-IAC circuit condition or idle speed higher/lower
P0450-? I have no idea couldn't find anything
P0141-Secondary H02S12
P1337- CSF sensor No signal
P0135-AF sensor 1 heater system malfunction

Obviously the 02 sensor ones I can probably figure out with just replacing them HOPEFULLY.

As far as the Faulty FTP sensor I'm not sure where to start with that. I've tightened down the gas cap. Could this just be a weird error since its a swapped motor and ECU?

CSF sensor, should I just replace this or should I do the bypass trick I found while searching? If i had to replace it how difficult would it be with the engine in the car?

P0450? No clue

IAC- Should I just clean this or just buy a new one?

I little angry that the seller didn't warn me of these before selling me the car but maybe he didn't know since the Check engine light is out.

Anyways any help and some tutorials would be awesome if you guys could forward me some links. Hoping for some easy fixes and I really don't have the time to tear it down and diagnose every wire. Might take it to a shop but I know I'll spend more in the long run, so I'll make time if I have to.

Autozone is suppose to give you the printout of all codes and an explanation of each code. Go back and get it.

Edit: have you even googled that mystery code?

No signal on ckf means this motor is probably not a b16a2.

This car was probably ran on an obd1 ecu and had everything you listed disabled or not put in place.

I have a explanation of all codes. Besides P0450 which seems to be the same as my P0452. No need to go back. Thanks for the reply.

If you clear the codes do all return? Does the car run poorly?

It's actually funny to me that you bought a car and just now realize the cel isn't working

I would like to also add the codes do not mean the same thing even though it leads to the same sensor.

Car runs fine besides it not engaging vtec. I just reset the ECU and let the car run for a minute and did another read.

3 codes this time.
P0141 H02S12
P0135 Af sensor
P1337 CSF sensor.

Not entirely sure if this has the second o2 sensor or not will check when I'm able to borrow a jack. Seems like it might because I have had Vtec engage when I was driving the vehicle back from buying it.. So it wasn't always in limp mode.

Glad I could make you smile. I just got the car yesterday. It was driving fine on the way home and vtec was engaging fine. Keep laughing..

You sat here posting back and forth but didn't bother to check for the second o2? Go check on the cat converter.

Connect the CKF sensor and check whether fuse 15 is blown.

Yup it has 2 o2 sensors. What is the P0141 and P0135 then? The paper I looked at says Heated oxygen sensor for the 141 and the 0135 says A/f sensor.

I was waiting to get a jack so I could actually get a good look. From it just sitting on the ground I didn't see one.

If you have curbs at your house, even at your gas station, you could drive up on one, pull the ebrake, and get under your car that way.

The car you bought didn't come with the factory scissor jack?

How? Give details and convince me you know fuse 15's location.

Have you checked the CKF sensor connector and wires?

You're right. I'm going to stay out of these threads where the OP has no clue what it is he's doing and the thread is all over the place. They get confusing. I would think if you pull codes for O2 sensors you would check the O2 sensors and not wonder if it is there. It is apparent the previous owner has pulled a fast one on you.

In your sig it has a link for fuse 15.. Located under dash?

Have not yet checked the ckf sensor connector yet. Tomorrow when I get some daylight i will for sure

You're 100% right I have no clue what I'm doing. Hints why I'm on a forum asking. I apologize that I have no idea where any of this stuff is yet but I will in time. But if you want to stay out of it that's fine.

Not sure of what? I'm confused? Since when did everybody on internet forums become such keyboard warriors?

I'm asking questions and I understand they may not be the particularly right question but seriously whats with all the quirky comebacks like you've never had to help a person new to the Honda world.
