I finally converted my 90 model dx hatch to obd1 running a p28. Iam only running one cel code and its for the intake air temp sensor. But my speedo stays pegged out most of the time even when the car is not on. Also my vtec is not working because of this but i am not throwing the vss code. Its running rich and also developes a sputter at steady rpm's at times. VERY CONFUSED and cant find a diagram for the obd0 cluster anywhere. What are people doing to fix this problem. Every body cant be swapping clusters are they? And if they are which ones fit and function properly?

 

So, you are running an electronic VSS instead of a cable speedo? Is it wired correctly?
Your IAT sensor may be the cause of your issues, I would address that. What engine are you running, you mentioned vtec isn't working so some more info about your swap would be helpful.
