My daughters civic ex horn beeps when we turn the lights on. I disconnected battery tried locking unlocking door with keyless entry and manually... nothing works. I finally just disconnected the horn from behind grill. Now no horn but still here the relay when you turn lights on. NI assume it has a factory alarm but not certain?

What could fix this issue?

The horn relay is located in the under-hood fuse/relay box. When you turn the lights on, is the relay sound from under-hood or under-dash?

You may have some wires shorted together. If it is the horn relay you hear, then the short may be inside the car's cabin.

If it isn't the horn relay you hear clicking with the lights turned on, then with the horn plugged back in, pull the horn relay out, and turn the lights on. If the horn still goes off with the horn relay out, then the short is probably somewhere along the left engine compartment harness.

 

Thanks for the reply, Tech8! Actually the sound is in both locations. I can hear it under hood in fuse panel and under dash area. I did pull the relay from under hood and could still hear the "clicking" sound when lights were on but I will double check this and reply. I will also check for short.

Plug the horn back in with the horn relay pulled. Does the horn still sound with the lights turned on?

I disconnected the 5 pin connector and it stopped but not sure what effect it will have elsewhere?
