94 integra stock, what to do
i just bought a 94 integra, basically just a shell as the motor has 215k on it but shell is in decent shape, i'm curious if anyone has any good ideas for what to do, if i should have this motor rebuilt or swap motors etc, i'm looking to boost it to about 300 for a decent budget. thinking a small turbo, anyone know how many pounds of boost i can run on a stock ls motor? so many possibilities i just want some input from some people with some more experience, thanks.
Start by reading the Forced Induction FAQ before entertaining the idea of boosting it. Turbocharging can be a great option, but it can also be a giant pain in the *** money pit if you do it wrong. Figure out the health of your current engine (compression/leakdown) and see if its healthy enough for boost...that will determine whether or not you have to build/recondition it.
When determining your goals, use a power number...like 300whp, not a boost level/psi number. Pounds of boost is an arbitrary concept since power creation changes depending on which turbo you're using, as well as the setup itself...10psi on a 50 trim is much different than 10psi on a GT4088r. Stock B series engines in good condition can handle mid to low 300s on the stock bottom end...more than that, you should probably consider building it.
Research, research, research....

do all routine maintenance, if you don't have a record of when the Timing belt and water pump were done replace them. Check the health of the motor as stated above.
If all is good then looking into modding it.
Me personally on a car of that age and mileage I would do suspension first including bushings and make sure brakes are good.
Then worry about going faster
