Default I'm new to Honda

Hey, I just bought a 99 Honda Accord 4door with an automatic transmission 2.3 ULEV VTEC. I'm a Toyota owner but I may be crossing over or just widening my selection.

Anyways, the car I bought was well maintained except the previous owner let the timing belt break on her driving down the highway. I'm in the process of tearing it apart to see if there was any engine damage. I'm going to pull the head and check it out. Does any one have any tips that make the job easy?

Right now I've pulled the valve cover, rocker arm assembly, alternator, power steering pump, timing belt cover, and I believe a motor mount, and the manifold cover. When I put the power steering pump back in do I need to bleed it? And do I need to drain the coolant our anything before pulling the head?

My father way back when (before he quit buying American) owned a mustang and had a timing belt break on him. Luckily, he was going about 30-40 and the engine had a relief valve so there wasn't any damage done.

Does Honda have anything like that too prevent engine damage when a timing belt breaks?
