Default Rear tires scrubing from wide rims and tires.. HELP

I have a 93 lude vtec that ive been working on for 3 years now or so its given me a lot of issues but this one is my own fault for not quite knowing what I was getting myself into, I bought 17"x8" rims a few years ago and 245/40/r17, and because of the small lip on the rims they cause the whole thing to stick out further. I have stock KYB shocks on the front and rear that I put in about 2 years ago, and they work just fine, accept the rear absorbs so much that I scrub quite often. Is there a aftermarket company that sells rear shocks that are stiffer than OEM but around the same height, or maybe a tad lower? Just curious on what the hell I should do without getting rid of the tires and rims. PLEASE HELP !!!?!?!?! Any knowledge will help me !@!

Your height is a function of the springs, so you need a stiffer or taller spring, or an adjustable coilover.

The cheapest option would be to use spring helpers, just rubber that goes in between coils of the spring to keep it from compressing so much.

If you are just scrubbing the tires on the fender a bit though, have you rolled the fenders at all, that may be all you need.
