2000 Honda Accord Occasinal Starting Issue- Video inside
Hello and Good morning,
My fiancee has been having an issue with her 2000 Honda Accord for the past few months, but it is not very often that it happens.
Car Details:
The car has a 4 cylinder motor, automatic transmission, 268,000 miles. (If there is any other information you need to know about the car, please let me know)
So an example of when this starting problem occurs is when she has been at work for 10 hours, she gets in the car to come home and tries to start it and it turns over just fine and will try to start but wont stay running. If you push the accelerator down and hold it in place, the Car will start and stay running at a higher RPM than idle, but once you take your foot off the accelerator, the car immediately sputters and dies.
After a few minutes of trying to start the car, the car will start to run normal and then the starting issue goes away until the next time it pops up.
Here is a video I took this morning of the car having this starting issue.
Anyone have any suggestions on what might be causing this issue.
My fiancee and I thank you in advance for any input on this problem!
Thanks,
Chris

The CEL and ABS lights are staying on. That means you have a code. There is something wrong with the car. Beg/Borrow/Steal an OBDII code reader and retrieve the codes.
