a/c problems
I bought this honda prelude and the guy told me the a/c works just needs to be hooked up. I dont know anything about a/c at all and needed some help. There is a hose missing. do i just hook it up and see what happen. also if i ordered a new one how would i know which on to. i dont even know where it goes.
The system is open right now, so dirt and such can get in there, and easily kill the seals if you just put a hose on and fire it up.
Also since the system is open to the elements, the dryer is probably shot.
Best bet would be to take it to an auto a/c shop, or Honda dealer. Have them clean and flush the system, put the right parts on, fill it properly, and test for leaks etc.

It looks like you're missing the ac discharge hose which is the high pressure line. I think you have a 95 prelude so that line goes to the left side of the condenser when looking at it from the front. Right next to the receiver/drier. Parts aren't that much. The cost is going to be the labor, it's way overpriced. I was once quoted around $1200 to fix the ac but that included a new compressor which is the most expensive part
