Need some opinions on rebuilding a type r.
I've wanted a type r for years, and now that I have a new job I'm finally close to being able to do so. Right now my plan would be to first find a cheap rusted out integra to use as a donor car, build an lsv with a small turbo (already have a turbo kit). Then find a type r shell ( sadly easy due to theft/ crash rate) and combine the two to make a full R. Now I now not everything is direct match between the ls and type r, and the stuff that isn't I'll either use oem r parts or use aftermarket parts.
Now the only reason I don't want to start out with a complete car is I know for a fact that I want to do a complete build up of it , ie cage, turbo, and upgraded suspension parts. Now I see a lot of cars getting built up this way so my main question is, is this the way to really go with building one? I've built a lot of cars in the past so the labor behind it doesn't scare me at all.
