Hey guys. Is the flywheel bearing the same thing as a pilot bearing?

And

Where does 1 purchase this flywheel or pilot bearing. Honda or Autozone?

The pilot bearing is the only bearing directly in the flywheel. Check rockauto or amazon for a NTN bearing. NTN is the manufacturer honda uses.

 

same thing and it should come with a flywheel when you buy one.

 

Comes with a clutch kit. Never seen it come with a flywheel.

 

To add to the confusion, there is also a throwout bearing - also called the release bearing. The clutch fork pushes this against the fingers of the pressure plate.

Hmmm... i thought the clutch kit only comes with

Alignment tool
clutch
pressure plate
throw out bearing

correct me if im wrong!

 

I worked at a parts store for 10 years and never sold a clutch kit without a pilot bearing. That was for OEM type sets. Some performance sets, which I have no experience with, do not include any bearings. So, you're half right.
