Koyo or NTN front wheel bearing
Good morning fellow teg owners. It's been a while since I have been here. Reason I'm here is beacause I have had no luck in finding a front wheel bearing from Koyo or NTN brand. Damn discount tire broke one my wheel studs. All I keep finding is the hub assembly. Could someone please help me out? I don't want to put a chinese made part in my car.
Here are a few places I have tried.
1. Partsgeek
2. Amazon
3. And any site Google displays
4. Team Integra
1996 Integra LS Speicail Edition w/ 225k original motor and tranny

Have you checked a honda parts website like majestic honda (bernardiparts.com)? Factory bearings are NTN, IIRC. And they're about $60.
If discount tire broke it they should repair it free of charge. When they stripped a stud on my truck manager told me to go to a repair shop they had an account with shop replaced stud on discount tires tab. had a buddy with a lowered integra get his rep mugen bumper ripped off and fenders bent at discount tire also and they also sent him to a body shop to get fiberglass repair and new front end paint free of charge
I checked hondapartsnow and they wanted $87 for one. I had replaced both of them a while back with koyo brand both for $90. Now I can't find where I bought them from. I think it was a vendor advertising on here or on team integra.

Very true jdmjunkiexl. It's just that the place they want to send me to uses chinese crap and then they take toooo long to fix it. They had broken one of lug nuts on my old accord and they said it would take over 2 hours. I went home and knocked the old one and replaced it with a new one in less than 30 minutes.

Timken is a Japanese company. Hard to know where each of their products is made.
For example, some NTN's are made in Japan, USA, China, etc. Depends on the bearing line.
If you're worried about a controlled quality product, you can buy from Honda. Part of their pricing is negotiating quality and manufacturing agreements with OEMs like NTN and Timken.
Parts you buy from Honda that are manufactured by Koyo/Timken/NTN may or MAY NOT be the same thing you'd find if you bought them somewhere besides Honda.
Feel me?

I'm surprised that they told you.
With the tire off, they could have turned the hub, until the broken stud lined up with the (partial) notch in the hub.
Then they could have gound off 1/3 of the head and banged it out.
The new head would be ground off by 1/3 and reinstalled using large spacers and an open ended lug nut.
I saw a couple of threads on this, but have not done it myself.

^there's a lot of grinding to do. There aren't too many shops that will agree to doing the job the way you described because of the liability. They can't grind away a part of your stud to install it. If it fails....you could sue them for everything their ancestors and future generations will ever be worth.
You CAN replace a stud that way. But you'd be on your own.

Extra insurance from what? Someone wants to race chariots and you can take out their carriage wheels with your large studs like you're Ben Hur?
So discount tire doesn't snap his studs again. and I'd assume he has open ended lugs most are now a days.
I bought a pair of Koyo's from this seller http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Koyo-Front-Wheel-Hub-Bearing-Set-Made-in-Japan-Honda-Civic-Acura-Integra-/271223036886?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AIntegra&hash=item3f26271bd6&vxp=mtr a while back. No complaints from me.

?? Almost all factory lugnuts are closed end. Honda lugnuts dont work on aftermarket wheels and aftermarket lugnuts dont work on honda wheels. Does he have aftermarket wheels and lug nuts? Did I miss that?
