Default AT to MT Conversion?

Looking to possibly buy a 95 Del Sol Si with D16z6 and Auto trans. Question: Any way to use the L3 5-speed cable trans from an 88-91 CRX? I know this trans will bolt up. Dont like the idea of all the hyro crap. Thanks

I know there is a hydro-cable conversion for b series, I don't think there is one for the d. Might have to modify the b series one

Don't do it, just stay hydro.

curious. do you mind explaining why?

all the kits i'm aware of allow use of a hydro system on a cable equipped chassis and/or transmission, but not a hydro equipped chassis to a cable transmission.

it shouldn't be too difficult to have something made though. find a cable clutch pedal assembly (it's important you use the one with the cable seat/hole integrated into the bracket) cut off the section that holds the third pedal and have it welded to your '95 auto pedal assembly. line up with the firewall and put a hole and grommet as needed.

I think he's talking about converting to cable altogether. this kit just allows a cable trans. to work with a hydro system. the OP wants a full retrofit and "downgrade" to cable on a new hydro chassis.

I don't understand why he wants to though. I've had 3 cable and 4 hydro equipped vehicles (5 if you count the '72 Toyota FJ40 rusting out back..) and I've only ever wanted hydro on all of them.
