Default Fuel line question

I'm rebuilding a 97 GS 4 door and the original fuel line from the tank to the filter had a kink in it along with a hole from the previous owner bending it over, anyway I ordered a new one from an Acura dealership in Florida from acuraoemparts.com, they canceled the order because the fuel line is to long and fragile to ship via ups so they told me I'd need to buy one locally, well I don't have an Acura dealership local to me but I do have a honda dealership in town so my question is will the fuel line from a 2000 civic ex 4 door work for my car? The pictures on the fuel line look identical but I'm not sure, if anyone has any input on this I'd appreciate it.

Is the bend/break in a place where you can make a repair with a flare tool, similar to a brake line? That would save you having to install a whole new part.

I always go to the Honda dealer for my Acura parts...or as said if you're good at flaring and working with fitting etc.

It's bent right where it makes the turn up from under the car, I've tried to order parts for an Acura from the honda dealer in the past and they tell me they can't order them, which I think is bs

splicing out the bent section is the best bet flaring isn't the hardest thing out there just annoying EricTheCarGuy has a vid on how to which is pretty good, I learned how at school. I have yet to do any real practice tho, I guess you could cut the bent section then use rubber fuel line in it's place ?.

I thought about using a piece of rubber fuel line in its place but wasn't real sure if it would work, although thinking about it I don't see why it wouldn't

I see no down side just get GOOD clamps. maybe if you had a turbo set up and were running into the high 80's PSI then I'd say no but stock I see no harm. Just watch it every now and then.

Do NOT use rubber hose. This is the high-pressure line!

Rubber hose can blow off and spray fuel everywhere. At 40 psi, you can end up with a potentially-fatal fire.

A correct and safe repair of the high-pressure line involves flares and flare nuts. Just like brake lines.
