Ac + dealeship?
Anyways, i have 2007 civic SI, i got the car last year and the ac was working perfectly, this year when i started to get hot i turned up the ac and it did not get cold at all, after messing around with fuses, and reading some tips on forums, i figured that it wasn't anything simple as bad fuse, so rather then wasting my weekend working on it, i went to the dealer they looked at it went through all fuses etc, turns out it was completely out of freon, they added dye and couldn't find any leaks, so hmm ok well good to go..
fast forward: well its been few months, and yesterday i discovered my ac does not work again, i called dealership and told them about my issue, he said we can schedule an appointment, look at it again, and he said there is dye in my system from last time, so it should be easy to find leak, so i went out to the car looked around for 30 seconds and i found green goo at lower side of ac radiator *(or whatever its called).
so my question is, is it worth it to shell out another 260$ + new part or whatever the process is to replace or repair the leaky ac radiator, or should i just take it out get new one and fill it up from one of them ac cans you can buy in auto parts store?
i really dont know if i want to go to dealer to have them work on same problem twice..

If the AC condenser ( radiator) has leaked, replace it. I am not sure the AC top up cans are the best way to re-activate your depleted AC system. You might have to take it to a shop and have it recharged professionally.
Do you really want to continue dealing with having to top it off all the time?
No replace it and call it a day! Trust me it will only get worst if you don't as you already have a leak...

well i already know ill have to replace it, i am just saying should i have dealership do it, or is something i that i can do myself, its just few bolts and some pipe thread right?
i know dealership will replace it, it is not a gasket, i can see the leak coming from between fins,
last time just to fill it up they charged me 170$ then 60$ for freon then some other fees + taxes came out to 260$, i assume new condenser will probably cost 100-150$ and i dont know how much they will charge for labor, so i am gonna be looking at atleast 450?
i think ill just order new condenser, and then just go to some shop and have them charge it..
*edit anyone know of good oem condenser or equivalent? post a link if possible!
