Default Help! What engine should I swap into my 1997 Honda Civic DX Hatchback?

My 1997 Hatchback has the D16Y7 in it. I want to swap to something better. I'm just starting to learn about all of this so I am not sure on what all to do. Will a B18C 94-97 (GSR) swap into my car? If not or even if so what are good swaps I should consider?

some of the best info I've gotten from this site has been a combination of faq thread here:

https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/faqs-frequently-asked-tech-questions-1998336/

and advance searching this website.

your new to the website so read up, set a goal. enjoy

In my opinion, a b16 or gsr motor wouldn't be worth the time to swap. I rather boost your motor now unless you're an all motor guy, the best bang for buck I think is: h22 with a b16 tranny. more importantly define your goals, it'll be easier and will save you money and time.
