I have a 95 Honda Accord EX.. The header blew on my motor and i got another installed.. Before I had the new motor installed my speedo was working.. Now it does not work at all and my D4 light is blinking and the check engine light is on. I think this is a VSS failure. I asked the mechanic what was wrong with it because it was working before i gave him my car. He said that he did not touch the transmission.. Could this VSS failure be a mistake on his behalf or has it just gone bad?

 

just make sure she is plugged in. It sits on the passenger side tranny in the back below the thermostat housing.

 

Under the center of the glovbox door are two blue connectors. Pull down the two wire one, jumper it with a wire, turn your ignition to II(ON) and watch the D4 light blinks for the codes, CEL will probably also give you codes. Post back what codes you witnessed.
