97 Honda Civic EX Radiator Fan Not On
I have a 97 Honda Civic EX and am having problems with the radiator fan. Driving normally with the car moving the car does not overheat.
While stopped after driving for about 20 minutes, turning the A/C on -- the dash will show it as hot as well as being stopped it will heat. It will get almost all the way up. If I turn off A/C it will go down again to about mid point and/or below.
The car was working fine previously just lately I just noticed the temperatures getting quite high. I've also had to put coolant more than once lately.
FIXED FAN SWITCH
- I have replaced the fan switch as I initially thought this was this issue. Tested it by shorting the sensor and the fan turned on. The fan should work.
It is on pretty tight and no leakage.
After changing it the fan still does not come on. I'm unsure of what to check next. I was thinking of checking the sensor from the front.
I thought it was going to be a simple fix with the fan switch but appears not.
Can I short the fan sensor and keep the fan on at all times or would this be bad as the car wouldn't be able to heat up?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm going to ask a stupid question; did you check the coolant levels? Is there air in the system? Does the fan come on at all? Check thermostat?
BTW. STOP OVERHEATING THE CAR!!!!!!!
