91 crx W/B18A1 swap starter not engaging
Hey guys so i put my crx on the road the other day and it started right up fine for the first 3 days. So yesterday i shut it off at a buddys house and went to start it up to leave and nothing, the starter isnt doing anything. We checked the battery even though it is brand new and it was good so we tested for power to the top post on the starter and it had power but nothing would happen when i hit the key. so we decided to pop start it which it started right up and i drove it home. So if anyone knows what could be going on i would appreciate it thanks
Test the small wire from the ignition to the starter.
Could be that your ignition switch died or that the starter solenoid is bad.

i did and its not getting power to the small spade, if i jump the power wire off the spade the car started once an now i do that and the starter will only click, and i just replaced the ignition switch the other day.
Had the same issue recently with my EF and the bumper the that holds the pin in for the clutch start switch had crumbled and broken. There should be a bumper just like the one for the stoplight switch for the clutch start switch. If the bumper is there and present take the wiring plug off the clutch start switch and jump it with a wire or paper clip and see if that works.
The switch was done away with when the swap was done becuase there is nothing behind my clutch pedal, i got it to start yesterday a few times and the starter was working just fine. I go out after work to start it and nothing again. so i took a set of jumper cables and hooked them to my battery and grounded the other side to the block, then i hit the starters small tab next to the post with the positive and it fired right up. Anymore info would be appreciated thanks.
Next time it doesn't want to start, try hooking a jumper cable from the battery ground to the transmission case. Don't hook the other cable to anything.
Just checking if your grounds are good.
