More Cruise Control Issues
Long time, no see. I'm having another issue with the cruise control on my 2001 Civic LX (standard transmission, 99,000 miles on it).
My previous issue was resolved nicely. I found a $35 replacement throttle body on eBay, which along with a $6 new TB gasket, gave me back the place to attach the cruise control cable.
It was working splendidly for a while, but now there's another issue that has popped up. I can set it, and have it hold a steady speed, but after a while it will disengage on its own, just as if I had hit the cancel button.
The thing is, the green light in the dashboard stays on until for a few seconds afterwards, so I don't think it could be a problem with any of the switches, because if I use the brake, clutch, cancel button, or the CC power button, the dashboard indicator goes out immediately.
If I shut the CC power off, and then turn it on and reset it, it will usually work again, however the other day, when it got really hot outdoors, it didn't want to work at all, until the cabin had cooled off a bit.
What is the likely problem? Would it be something in the CC module?

Hi. It took me a while to find time to test this (working overtime these past few weeks,).
My Civic is a four-door sedan. The connector only has four pins, not twelve. The actuator is a Denso, model number MX100300-1190.
Is there a procedure for testing this one? Or should I just head to the boneyard and try to find another one to test it out?
