Can i use darton dry sleeve (dds) for na with big pistons?
Benson used the original aluminium case for there sleeves. The different is the benson sleeves have a full iron flange on the top. in the marktplace is a 86mm dds engine for sale.

 

what is the OD of the dry sleeves

 

Darton also has dry iron liners (sleeves) with or without a flange. You should find out what liners where installed and then check Dartons website for bore specs!

Darton sell them only to replace. But dartons are stronger.
I think i go wet and be safe.

 

Can't beat the Darton M.I.D sleeves. Liners are for wimps!

 

at 88mm OD, the thickness of the sleeve walls would be

2mm thick for 84mm (88 OD = 84 cyl ID + 2mm +2mm)
1.5mm for 85mm
1mm for 86mm

 

86mm dry sleeve are other sleeve. it called 86mm drag sleeve. darton drag sleeve 86mm (only for drag)
