97 Civic - axle probs after hitting pothole

Default 97 Civic - axle probs after hitting pothole

so yesterday i broke an axle. hit a pot hole go figure but anyways i got a new one and put it in made sure it was all the way in and the joint wasnt seperated before finishing up. when i set the car on the ground and tried to leave the joint close to the trans spereates and spins.

bad part or bent/broken suspension component what do you guys think

97 honda civic dx no anti lock brakes. dont have a lift just a jack so pictures are probably going to be butt

Put a 4x4 on the jack to make it higher? Use jack stands if you're smart..

Grab a few lights, pull it up a curb, take a few pics.

So you changed an axel with just a jack and no jack stands? Wow you like living on the edge.

its been raining a while so pics wont happen today but yeah i did it with no jack stands takes about ten minutes so i yeah

Out of curiosity..how did you do that? I'm genuinely intrigued.

Also, make sure the axle is completely seated into the transmission...easy potential fix.

so the craziest thing happend.. the bolts got ripped out the trans mount and cause all this crap to happen fix it tho

not a surprise, those bolts are known to strip over time I had to time-sert mine on my integra.
