fuel and spark but won't start..
Ok guys I am getting desperate.
I have a 91 civic SI with a d15b.
I was on my way to a buddies shop to re ring my jdm d15b vtec. And it threw a rod.
So I went by a salvage yard and grabbed a non vtec d15b out of a 88 civic dx. (Car was rear ended)
I have looked everywhere, I can find the problem..
Has fuel and spark, tested the coil, tested good, cam timing good (I put a new belt on)
even used tried my old vtec distributor that I know is good..... no change
checked the ground on the thermostat, good
checked all the fuzes.
I even swapped the entire manifold from my blown engine. And pit a know to work stock p06 ecu...
I am lost any help would be greatly appreciated.

No codes, it is turning over like normal.
Compression measured at ~160 across the board
the car had 180 on the odometer. However someone put a obd1 jdm d15b non vtec and had it running as dpfi.
Weird.

So no idea if the engine even ran before?
Its been a while since I've messed with an ef chassis. Made sure none of the plugs are swapped around with any of the sensors? Has fuel at the rail or are you going off of the fuel pump priming?
Perhaps I'd have this moved to the appropriate forum. Would have much better luck there.
