Okay Im stumped. Ive got a 93 civic hatch with a jdm gsr engine. When I turn the key to on, the check engine light never comes on. I cant hear the fuel pump prime. The main relay only clicks once. The engine cranks fine, and the car has a brand new battery. It just wont start. I have installed a new wireworx tucked engine harness, brand new grounds on engine and transmission, changed out ecu and main relays for known working parts. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have searched for anything I may have missed while installing the new engine harness, but it all is very straight forward. Everything plugs in fine.

Oh I might add - Yes I have checked the cel bulb and it is in working condition.

 

Are you saying the problem existed prior to all of this?

 

Does voltage reach the CEL bulb socket?

Has the CEL ground wire that runs to the ECU been cut?

 

Yes I am getting volts up to the cel socket on the gauge cluster. I did cut the brown wire for the cel due to it being integrated into the new wireworx harness. There were 7 wires that needed to be cut and spliced into the new harness from the stock chassis harness by the ecu.

 

I double checked the brown wire back to the wireworx harness I had connected, and sure enough the pins werent plugged in the connector all the way. Oops... So thanks to Ron for advising me to check the brown wire. Fixed the connections and the car fired right up! Thanks for the help! You saved me a huge headache.
