Default Fuel Gauge not reading correctly

My fuel gauge always reads just below full mark after filling up,
and when the needle is below the empty mark, I still have 12 litres left.
It's annoying!
It's been like this since I've owned the CRX in 2006.
I went ahead and ordered a new sending unit fuel meter today.
Only 1 left in Canada and I got it ! lol

There are 2 types:
NS or Denso

Check your gauge cluster to see if it has the 'NS' marking on the bottom right.

Update:

Looks like the problem is fixed ! Replaced sending unit and the gauge needle went up a bit ! Looks like a more accurate reading now since I fueled up 28 kms ago.
I think Honda updated these sending units because the originals could have been inaccurate ? Who knows.

So where is this compartment? I have the same problem on my 1990 EF hatch. Also, did you have to use that special tool?

Under the rear storage compartment.
Yes you need the tool. You dont wanna create sparks using a flathead screwdriver trying to move the tabs !

Thanks! So where does one get the tool? I'm thinking of just replacing the sender unit as I have the same issues and symptoms...
