Hi all My name is Dave, I live in Manchester ,United Kingdom. I own a Honda Civic 1.6 Vtec 2003.I joined to see if other Honda users could help me out with a problem i have. Last year the matrix(sounded like a box off ball-bearings) went in my catalytic converter. I had an after market React one installed by a Garage. Almost instantly the EML came on. went back to garage immediately and was told I would have to live with it, apparently it is part and parcel of installing an after market part.

My Honda Civic went in for an MOT on Saturday and failed on high emissions for the first time ever, was the Same garage, they said the Catalytic converter wont be responsible for the high emissions despite a P0420 bank 1 code. They want me to go to a fuel injector specialist off theirs. I am not convinced this garage actually knows what it is doing. They also said both O2 sensors are also working correctly. I have pulled an FF of the code being activated to see if any off the lads and ladies on here can put me on the right path and least expensive. I will be eternally grateful if I can rectify this problem without unnecessarily replacing parts given my financial situation
