Default 92 Honda accord lx sedan crank but no start help?

Hey guys was driving and my car just died . Rpms dropped to zero . The radio and the gauges were still on when it happened. And when I tried to turn the engine over the it would crank but wouldn't start .what do you guys think it could be? I thought it could be that the motor had popped since it has 168000 miles on it and but I've been keeping up with proper maintenance on so I'm just kinda lost

I assumed youve changed the timing belt? I would have a compression test done. If that turns out ok, then check for fuel and spark, one of the three has been lost.

I have not changed the timing belt because i be only had the car for about 3 months and the previous owner said they did a timing belt / water pump change. But I was going to in about 2 weeks just for my peace of mind.

I had this issue on my previous accord, it died while rolling down the road, and it would crank but never start up.

WHAT I DID:

took off the distributor cap and the rotor button screw had backed out. I lined the rotor back up and put a TINY drop of RED (not blue, not green) LOCTITE on the screw and tightened that sum bitch down. Fired up on the first shot. I never had another problem with crank but no start.

Might not be your problem? But not gonna hurt to take a screwdriver and find out? lol

Take off the valve cover and see if the belt is still intact. If it is, I would check for spark using a spark tester. If it's getting spark I would then check for fuel.

If you crank the engine and you hear compression then your timing belt is still intact. If you crank it and it just makes a noise that you never herd before then that's a good sign the belt is broken. Timing that is. Check for spark. It could be the igniter in the dizzy. You can check for current at the pos side of the wires going into the dizzy. This is all assuming you checked for spark and are getting none. Sorry about that. I had the same exact problem and it turned out to be my igniter. Let me know if it is. I have two in perfect condition here I'll give you cheep.
