Icon2 Engines That Will Fit 2000 Accord SE

So I have done tons of research and can not seem to find what i am looking for. I have a 2000 Honda Accord SE, 4 door and 5 Speed Manual Transmission with a 2.3L Engine V4. Now this does not give me a whole lot of power and for me this is weird as I have owned faster cars (92 Accord and 93 Vigor). Currently my car has a F23A in it if my research is correct.

The question that i have is what engines will fit into my Accord. I know the F22 and H22 series are supposed to fit but there are so many different engines in the series so i really have no idea.

Please and Thankyou

1) F23 = I4 (inline 4), not V4
2) H22 fits, there's tons of threads about swapping it in

You are also OBDII, and depending on the state may be required to retain the functionality of the port. If you convert down to OBDI you'll lose that ability and could fail emissions or whatever tests the state does.

You could also do an OBDII swap, but generally would pay a bit more upfront for the motor.

Also, I think your sense of power is a bit off. The 2000 Accord is quite a bit quicker than the 1992 Accord. The newer model is about 1 second quicker in 0-60.

no point in dropping a F22 in there
H22A or MAYBE an H23A will fit
H22A is factory in Japan in 1998-2002 accord type r and will fit with some mods
H22A will fit a 1994-97 accord with relative ease
H22/23A engine output is 200hp cant get much better than that for 4cyl
J30 is Honda/Acura V6 and will require heavy mods
B16/18 engine might fit but is not common or practical

i would suggest bolt-on aftermarket parts i.e. air intake exhaust etc. F23 is built for added torque over F22 engines and might seem sluggish in comparison but remember all engines are factory de-tuned for lower output so drivers dont kill themselves
