my boss is sending me out that way for sema show next week and i want to check out the local shops and import scene......Where should i be going? What and where are the good ones, exact adresses would be nice as i will be cabbing it, Thanks all from a newby

i dont have exact addresses, but i am from vegas. CCR motorsports is on spring mountain and valley view. there is evolution motorsports as well as MP motorsports. I would definitely check out Carzmetics on N Dectaur BLvd. And if you really want some action go to the Chevron on Russel road and Industrial Rd. on Saturday at about 10 o'clock dont worry you wont miss it youll see enough imports and domestics going that way to make you sick for days and they'll learn ya on the underground part of las vegas. good luck in sin city.

 

A word of advice, the strip from the airport should at the most be a $7-$8 cab ride from the airport. I got taken for a ride by a cab driver, ****** took some way that ended up costing me $22!!!!!!! I did not know this until I caught a cab back to the airport at the end of my trip, it was only $7.50. I told the cab driver it cost me $22 the first time and he told me straight up I got ripped. And this was to Treasure Island too, a hotel on the dam strip!!

Not too many really good shops out here. I would also recommend 1201. I think his h-t name is 3rror404. There are a lot of ricer shops out here. As well as plenty of ricers. The whole underground street racing thing here is wacked now. Alotta stupid people out there doin stupid things (i.e. ****** around in the middle of the street where they race). I'll be at SEMA too. Anyone know of any companys that will be making deals?

 

what about Mp, i know a buncha dirty azns works ther but do youk now if that shop is shady or are they good?
i wouldn't goto ccr i've been there and i didn't see any performance parts at all, just wheels and bling stuff
theres another shop on a street off of tropicana, its a couple streets up from IN & OUT then take a left, ( theres a gas station on the corner of the street your supposed to turn left on) i forgot the name of it but its pretty big and nice
you can also goto Falconi's Acura the guys are pretty cool,they'll help you find stuff in town its on sahara past the strip up a ways....

anyhoo anyone know where everyone meets up for racing, i wont be racing but i need to talk to some people to buy/sell some parts

MP is one of the most popular places for performance over here. CCR isn't for anything really but blings, lights, and mufflers. Haha pretty vague with the gas station at the corner, but yeah i know what your talkin about...that's Carzmetics. They don't do much engine work anymore but they do distribute performance parts and do body work. Theres another shop in the same center but i think its more of just on the electronics side. As for Acura, yeah they're hella cool, but the prices are kinda outrageuos. They blocked the in n out on trop a while ago. Now its just chevron on valley view and russell....then they go race at valley view and sunset. Theres other spots as well, but thats the most popular

haha ya....everytime i go there on a fri or sat i end up following a whole buncha people and as time goes on the group of people slowly dissiapates into like 2 or 3 cars....i'm like wtf....everyone just drives aroudn the whole time and no one races...
whats up with that am i just with thewrong crowd or what????

One simple answer to your question....The Fast and the Furious....ever since that movie came out....the street races have gotten worse

 

Yea it has. Too many little kids doing stupid **** to attract the cop's attention. Couple years ago it wasn't too bad, we always had battles-but hey Fast and the furious did some damage to the real racing scene. Too many riced out cars "all show and no go" and the ******fied little imports and domestics with their blings. I dont even go anymore. But to answer dirtyazn question: all the real racers go to the "strip" at the Las Vegas Speedway for "midnight mayhem" it happens like twice out the month-evrey other friday. Costs like 10 bucks to rrace and like 7 to watch. Its worth it though.

 

On november 15 there are street legal drags at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. I think it starts at 8:00 PM. 5 Bucks to watch and 10 to race. As far as shops, you can check out 1201aeromotiv. They are located on 4760 W Dewey Dr Ste 145 . Just go down Decatur past Tropicana, Its going to be the first left BEFORE Rusell RD. go past the animal shelter and it will be the first business center on your left. Go all the way down and you will probably see a primered CRX outside. Carsmeticz is like 5 minutes away so you can check them out also. They are on Decatur near Tropicana. Falconis Acura performace/dealership is pretty nice also. They are on Sahara AVE , about 3-6 blocks past Decatur. While you are there make sure to test drive an NSX

Dont bother going to the illegals, they suck. The track on the 15th should be pretty cool.

HEY, im in Las Vegas right now.... IM visiting the school (UNLV), and im going to SEMA this week. I haven't seen all that many nice rides out here, except a fellow JDM DC2, only boosted!.... Its really nice.
