Hello my 98 Honda civic lx was working great till I put it into park waiting behind someone in a drive thru it started making a almost buzzing sound and when I tried to put it into drive nothing happened and no gears but park and neutral worked so I pushed it out and sat for a little while with the engine off then I started it up and put it into reverse and that worked but then I put it into drive and it started making the same sound again and then it wouldn't move forward or go reverse again and the transmission fluid is pink and is not low and it doesn't feel like it is changing gears when I shift to drive , please help

Internal failure. Trans needs rebuild or replace. The buzzing sound is from the pump trying to draw fluid through a clogged filter. My condolences.

 

i had this problem on an accord i used to have and youre going to need a new transmission or rebuild it. id also recommend converting it to manual instead of auto

my tranny gave out while driving and it hit so hard it felt like i was rear ended lool i drove home on 1st and 2nd gear
