Stop saying "plz help". It's annoying.

As I understand it, because it was an automatic, there are going to be extra plugs, for the automatic that isn't there any more. What exactly is the issue? Did you install it or did someone else?

If it doesn't throw any codes and runs then what's the issue?

Try it with the P72 if you've already converted to 5 speed. You'll have to wire up a few things IACV, VTEC, knock, IAB.

Is the P72 in working condition? Any ECU should theoretically be able to start and run that engine unless you have this one chipped and the basemap is bunk.

I'm assuming you have an obd2 chassis
And you are using an obd1 ecu

Purchase a obd1 to obd2 adapter.
Or purchase obd2 ecu if you go obd2
Make sure to wire in
Knock
Crank

Make sure of your grounds
Your timing
And your sparkplugs order
Vtec wires and iab

Yes but mine was obd1 auto to manual conversion.
Don't know how differnt the chassis is just want to put some info on what I delt with.

He said he was missing a plug for ecu so I thought wrong ecu.
Car won't start if ground near the thermostat housing isn't making good contact. . Also the swap had the sparkplugs on wrong found that out after a couple cranks...don't bash me just trying to put some insight.
Op can you take a picture if what extra plug you are talking about and what is the complete number on your p72? P72-xxx?

Also like stated above check for codes, and since it worked with another ecu try a p72 from a friend. you might have a bad one.

You civic is an obd2b, what yr ecu is the p72? There is no wrong way to hook up the ground wire on the thermostat housing. I'll be damn if its not the ground wire.
