Default Instrument Cluster Swap Question

Hello, I have been in the market for a replacement instrument cluster, my temp gauge erratically jumps around, and to make a long story short, I have diagnosed it as the gauge itself. My vehicle is a 99 Accord LX (ULEV) 4 cyl Automatic

Anywho: I have been looking online for days and am a bit confused, in a couple places i see that 98-99 are different than 00-02 clusters (even though they APPEAR the same).. However when I look to purchase a used one, 90% of them list as "98-02 Accord cluster", as if there is no difference. So my question is: Is there a difference? If there IS a difference, how can I tell so that I for sure get a "98-99"? I am looking at one now that is listed as "98-02" Is there a way to tell from the part number? This part number I am looking at getting is 78100 S82 A300 M1

Thanks for any insight!

Not sure of the exact difference or if the two "interchange". The wire diagrams are different, I have not compared the two to find the difference.

I do know that the temp gauge is one place there is a difference. 98-99 use the temp sender (single wire sender on the end of the head, under the dist). The 00-02 use the PCM and ECT to drive the temp gauge.

Sorry, didn't answer your question but hope a little more info helps out in the end.
