Default Official: Turbo CRV Thread

I want to keep this informative and to leave speculation out. Too many conflicting stories of HP, 1/4 times, setups. Please post at least one picture of the engine bay along with a mod list, time slip, dyno graph, video, or link to the build thread. If you are going to claim a 1/4 time or HP #, post the slip or graph!

Include at least this much information for the mod list:

Head:
Block:
Turbo:
Cams:
FWD or RT4WD:
Auto or Manual:
1/4 Time:
HP:

The burn out pic is not my car, it belongs to Eddie Monsta.

I apologize for the confusion. All three cars are different, but all silver so far. LOL

I'm prepping to build/turbo my 01 and it's a 5spd as well....how have the tranny 's, transfer cases and rear ends held up in the aforementioned builds? Is there any advice on mods done to the driveline to help aid in strengthening any components?
Thanks for any advice!

I cant speak for the other builds, but my rear end is holding fine @ 377 HP.

There have been a small hand full of people that have upgraded the rear end using:

Civic Wagon rear end
Civic Wagon carrier bracket
Civic Wagon Driveshaft
Custom spacer
Customer rear axles

I was just recently told a C4 corvette rear end has a very similar ratios...

Hey just a quick question for all you FI CRVs.....do you all still have AC/PS? If you do, how'd you go about routing your IC piping? I'm in the process of finishing piecing together my turbo kit and having issues routing my IC pipes around my radiator support.

I still retained AC/PS. I got one of those ebay intercooler kits for a EK and had to play around with different pieces to get it to fit. Every setup will be a little different since turbo placements will vary. I ended up only using 2 inch piping from the turbo and driver side IC piping. Everything else is 2.5.

Take your time trimming the front bumper. I was in a rush the first time around and didnt think the IC piping would clear the bumper, so I hacked half of it off. After I got some 2 inch piping, i was able to make it fit without having it look like the third black crv in this thread.

Awesome! Thanks a million RevIllusions! That's perfect! I guess I'm just gonna get some ebay IC pipes and go from there. I was trying to go 2.5" all around and I guess that was my problem.

Updated some pics for you....

If anyone else found a way to route this with 2.5 inch piping and still stayed behind the bumper, please post pics!

Ive since upgraded from my Greddy 31v intercooler to a bigger Vibrant intercooler. Same clearance....no new trimming needed.

Any idea what manifold is used on that INLINEpro car?

i plan on going with a inexpensive log/cast manifold on mine as well hoping to retain AC, my CRV is my daily so i plan on keeping it pretty simple.

Keep it all on the passenger side and it works perfectly fine with 2.5" as long as you trim the lower apron where the resonator sits. Have to think outside of the box haha...

ive been slacking off my V... changing the full set up this winter, going for a top mount turbo,
using log manifold, i might have to fabricate new a/c line and make it work under rather than
on top so i could put bigger turbo... engine has been build and sitting at the shop, i tried the CNC werx
cylinder support system, now were building the full sleeved typeR block i used before, we'll
see how much of a difference it is between the two... all engine parts are the same except for
the block.... we have a spare civic shell we could install the engine and put it on dyno.... this
is gonna be an exciting winter at the shop...!!

How often do you RTawd guys blow axels / differentials in the rear?

The civic can't carry mountain bikes, dirt bikes, or go offroad so now I'm thinking of building one of these.... How much torque you making?
