Compatible distributor for 99-00 Civic Si?
I'm running an external CDI ignition setup in my vehicle that bypasses the internal ICM and coil.
Unfortunately, the CYP sensor in my distributor housing has failed and I'm seeking a new one.
What model vehicles are compatible? I know that the 97-01 GSR is the same as my 99-00 Civic Si but these two are never in the junk yards.
Are there any other vehicles that will work? OBD2b vtec
Can i pull one from an OBD2 LS Integra or even a CRV?
Or am I better off buying a new $60 ebay distributor since I wont be using the coil, icm, rotor or cap

So for reference, since the b18/b20 use the same distributor, you would have to modify the distributor for it to mount properly. The car will run with an LS or b20 distributor.
Here's a good list of the distributors and motors they work on. NOTE: This list only provides DIRECT FITMENTS, and will not list distributors that will work with modification.

I'm not sure if you've trouble shooted the CYP issue, or not.
From RonJ: Check the CYP sensor resistance - spec is 350-700 Ohms. Also check the two CYP wires for a short or open

Yep i've done the troubleshoot
Looks like I'm pretty much limited to a b16/gsr distributor unless I want to run a janky leaking setup

Unfortunately so
.
Unless you're comfortable with rebuilding. I believe you may be able to use internals from an LS/B20 distributor.

Edit: The only thing i'm not able to verify is if the sensors/internals and or CYP will be a direct bolt up into the B16 distributor. If someone can confirm... that would be great!

You can use the CKP/CYP/TDC sensors from any OBD2 B-series distributor (except '99 - '01 CR-V as they don't have quite the same pins, even then if you jam them in there they will work) Even a '96 - '98 D-series distributor has the same sensors (Except HX)
