Civic clanking noise

Civic clanking noise

On my 5 speed, 95 civic lx. When I first start reversing or going forward it makes a clanking pop can noise, nothings dragging or catching anywhere. Thoughts?

Noise associated with initial clutch engagement? If so, it may be the clutch throw out/release bearing.
