How's it going? I've had some engine troubles with my Acura RSX and was told about my A/C compressor from Pep Boys, but my engine is loud even with the A/C off. Here's a quote and video of my engine as it starts up and I use the pedal:

 

Update: After less than 10 minutes of driving this morning, smoke started coming out of my engine. I started smelling something strange, more like rubber than something burnt. I also noticed that the ticking noise and overall loud sound mostly happens below 2000 RPM but is not as loud after driving for a small period of time. Here's another video of my engine:

 

pep boys...nuff said lol. That sux man. I have an 02 rsx type s and hope this never happens.

 

lol well my car was in an accident and had that sound before I bought it, and a friend of mine got it fixed for me already, my engine sounds so much better now, finally.

 

well your A/C compressor will still have the pulley free wheel even if the A/C is off. So in theory it could be you compressor.....BUT sounds like you have it solved. what was the problem??
