I have a DC Sports 4-2-1 one-piece stainless header on my EX and it's rusted to **** thanks to last winter. I went to the auto parts store and found some high-temp aluminum with ceramic engine paint for like 5 bucks. Now can I sand it down, primer it, and just apply the paint, or is there some other way I can fix it? Let me know, so I can take care of this ASAP. Thanks.
you can't use regular primer. You'll have to use high temp primer...but this stuff will just fall off anyways since it gets too hot. It will work fine on heads and blocks, but not exhaust manifolds. You're best bet would be too rid the rust and wrap it with heat wrap.
get a new header,
also stainless does'nt rust...

Buy some 1000 grit sand paper and sand it down. Then shine it up with a good polish. I used mother aluminum and mag polish on it and it worked fine on the SS.

That's funny my SS greddy header rusts. Infact i've seen many SS parts rust over time.

Then spray the surface sparingly with WD-40, that way as it heats up it'll turn that purdy bronze color
(Plus that might help prevent it from re-rusting)

nothing to worry about, and quite normal if you live north of the mason dixon.
