Need quick help with seat belt buckle replacement
Hi. Have an 01 Accord 4-cyllinder 5 speed. I think it's a DX.
Anyhow, SRS light on, code said driver seat belt buckle is bad.
Went to junk yard, got 2 buckles. One from a 98 4-cyllinder and one from an 01 V6 car with leather and side airbags. 98 has 2 pins, 01 has 3 pins.
Questions:
Haven't pulled my seat buckle yet. Will it be 2 pins or 3?
If three pins, is it ok if I use the buckle from a same year car even though it's a different model accord (leather, side airbags, v6)?
Can I just do the swap and the SRS light will go off on its own providing the new buckle is good?
Should I leave the battery hooked up during swap?
Or no matter what, will I have to do some complicated SRS reset somehow? Trying to avoid doing that.
Please advise.
Thanks!

First. Try cleaning the one you have, many times a good spary with something like wd-40 and bit of work will get it working again.
on the '01 - should be 3 pins.
