what donut rims/compact rims would fit inside the hidden trunk of crv gen1
Hi guys.
Just wondering what donut rims/compact rims would fit inside the hidden trunk of gen1 crv?
I want very little or no modification at all.
I plan to remove the bracket on the tailgate along with the spare tire.
Thanks.

Technically, you Could just measure the width of the opening and compare to the overall diameter of the spare that you are looking at...
There is a lot of space in there for sure, but I decided to use it for audio stuffs.

Why they went with an external spare in the US is beyond me. Most likely since other manufacturers were doing it so they just copied that. With the factory table in place, it makes access a chore. Given, you don't necessarily get in there that often, but a lot of stuff needs to be removed to get the jack out in itself. The only benefit to the outside spare is a full size one can be used without issue.
With the plastic tray removed there is a very reasonable amount for a large spare. Measure the space and go to the junkyard and pick up a spare. Did and done...
