Default 92 accord problem.

recently i started running a 92 accord in the hornet class at our local dirt track.
first week the car had allot of power and rpm's in low 2. this week when i hit low 2 i couldnt get half the power i got the first week. low 1 still has its power and i can gain spots right off the green flag. as soon as i hit low 2 it feels like im losing allot of hp. car still runs smooth no spitting or sputtering. there no converter on it so i know its not clogged up. the only thing i have changed on the car was. i pulled the dimmer, window, and lighting relay. due to it was causing a battery drain while the car wasnt running. thanks for any help that anyone can give me with this problem.

I'm interested. What do you have in place of the TC? A clutch? Like an old school Lenco setup? Very interested in more tech/info on this.

dash is out so i can not see any lights on it.
havent ran codes on it yet. but with the car being fully stripped, i would bet im going to get all kinds of codes.
someone suggest fuel filter and im going to try that but im confused why i have plenty of power in low 1 but lose allot of get up and go when i shift to low 2.
sorry didnt mean torque converter..... meant cadilictic converter or how ever you spell it.

dont think it is cause i have plenty of hp in low 1.
also if i put it in drive and try to take off it feels like its not starting in low 1. but i can manually pull it down in low 1 and the hp is there. when i upshift it to low 2 it feels like i went straight into overdrive (not much power)

back at square one. new ecu did not fix the problem.
as long as i manually pull the shifter into low 1, the tranny grabs fine. after gaining speed and manually put it in low 2 . it feels like its going straight to overdrive.
if i start out in d4 the car feels like its slipping.
kinda lost here .... any help ????
