Need Help!!!
Got a 97 accord with 195k miles. Timing belt broke going down interstate, so I know most likely its fucked, and I don't have the money to fix anything right now, so I need to get rid of it. I paid $800 for it, but it was in really nice condition when i got it, got it from my girlfriends mom. Barely any cosmetic issues whatsoever, and the engine is great, but the tranny started to slip a tiny bit. Most of the maintenance had been upkept, EXCEPT im guessing the timing belt, which i didnt know when i got it. it just broke on me maybe a month after i bought this car. I'm not too worried because I only paid $800 for it, but I need another working car to get back n forth to work. BEST option for getting the most cash out of it? Parting Out? Selling on craigslist? Need some advice here please, and thanks
You should be able to get $6-700, if, #1 the body and the interior are in decent shape. Engine will cost about $500 to fix(Rebuild head, replace head gasket, timing belt/water pump. Transmission, may only need a good flush with honda fluid.
I bought my 97 with a similer condition, i paid $600.
